All You Need is Love-A Message for the World…

People say that they love others, but if they have not accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, their attempts at love are at best shallow” – how to encapsulate everything about christianity that is blinkered, bigoted, dismissive and self-satisfied!

Stepping Stones

Popularized by the Beatles in 1967, and actually written by John Lennon. Inspired to write something that will give the world a message for the day. During a decade torn by war, and threats of communism, fear and hate was running rampit. The words to the Beatles song was a cry for peace. People wanted peace, they wanted everyone to just be okay with one another, and for everyone to coexist in a loving manner with each other.

Gently, I would like say something. That is impossible without Christ.

1 John 4:7,8 says “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

    And simplistic. The world is a complicated place. And love alone, by itself, blinds us. And besides all that, it is just so much treacle and gag worthy.

    • Sadly doesn’t allow for ‘significant others’ like Buddhists, Atheists, Humanists and so on and is so unloving of other beliefs, knowledge and experiences. It is so excluding and self-congratulatory. The more blinkered we are and extreme our beliefs and practices the sadder the world becomes.
